Role Overview:
The Finance Management Advisor (Volunteer) will provide expert financial guidance and support to help the foundation achieve its goals. This role involves advising on budget planning, resource allocation, and financial strategies to ensure the foundation operates efficiently and sustainably.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning and Analysis:
  • Assist in developing and managing budgets for programs and initiatives.
  • Provide insights into financial performance and recommend strategies for optimization.
  • Support the creation of financial forecasts and funding plans.
  • Resource Allocation:
  • Advise on effective allocation of resources to maximize impact.
  • Review and recommend improvements to current financial processes and policies.
  • Grant and Fund Management:
  • Guide the team on managing grants, donations, and other funding sources.
  • Ensure compliance with donor requirements and financial reporting standards.
  • Training and Capacity Building:
  • Provide training sessions to staff and volunteers on financial literacy and management.
  • Mentor team members on budgeting, expense tracking, and resource optimization.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Assist in preparing financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure accurate and transparent financial documentation for audits and evaluations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (advanced degree or certifications such as CPA/CFA preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in financial management, budgeting, or accounting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial tools and software (e.g., MS Excel, QuickBooks).
  • Passion for social causes and a willingness to volunteer time and expertise.
